Far-out Ceramics, handmade in Berlin Germany.
Marilyne’s designs are the Antithesis to traditional ceramics. She offers a curated selection of refreshingly eclectic forms, bold airbrushed gradients and vivid colors for homewares with a heap of character.
Alongside her own practice, she’s been teaching pottery for the past decade, sharing her love of playful shapes, bright colours, and beautifully crafted pieces along the way.
find out more about:
Born in a remote corner of northern Canada, Marilyne Blais went on to study visual arts at Concordia University (BFA) and the University of British Columbia (MFA). She found her way to clay over a decade ago, around the same time she made Berlin her home, a move that quietly shaped the studio practice she continues to grow today.
Since then, she’s been running her own ceramic studio and label, happily wearing many creative hats along the way.
Always open to collaboration and special commissions, Marilyne welcomes new ideas and projects. If you’d like to work together, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
The maker
Marilyne’s work leans into fun and individuality, combining lively colors, fluid gradients, and distinctive forms that bring joy and dopamine into everyday spaces.
Each one of her pieces is individually thrown on the wheel, fired and glazed with extra doses of love, patience and care. All glazes are food safe and lead-free. All pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe, although hand-washing is always best to prevent wear. As each item is created by hand, there may be some variance in size, shape, and color.
Unique is beautiful!
The ceramics
Alongside creating ceramics under her namesake label Marilyne Blais, Marilyne spends much of her time sharing her love of clay with others, making teaching an integral part of her studio practice and everyday life.
Tucked away on Warthestraße in Berlin-Neukölln, her colorful, cozy studio is a welcoming space to slow down, get your hands dirty, and explore pottery at your own pace. Marilyne offers a range of monthly wheel-throwing classes for all levels, whether you’re trying it for the first time or looking to deepen your skills.
Come as you are, and leave with something made by you.
